I may not be reading some of these translations properly....but it seems that a lot of press recently has been given to local Sifontes miners who are bad mouthing KRY, Marlene Vargas and others who, as far as I have heard up to this point, have been nothing but doing good things to help the locals. This is in keeping with your observation about the goings on at Hecla. 40 miners protesting? Where are the rest? They say there are no coincidences. All this bad press about the foreign miners and the good mayor of Sifontes coincidentally hit the press when the permit is denied. Odd...but then again...this IS Venezuela.
