CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
At this point, imo, waiting a few more days or weeks is not going to make much difference. They all know what's at stake here and how the days are counting down for this exploration season.
cbew, I dont think that would be a problem. The REAL problem would be if there are more MONTHS of delays, which could happen when judging from past performance.
CUU is already missing out on drilling, even a drilling plan would be invited as good news (even though they might just pull the drills back like they did last year). However, as some have posted: drilling could be done by Teck instead of CUU diluting more shares.
The only explanation is that a preliminary deal has been worked out already, so that CUU will wait it out until the final announcement pending the remaining paperwork, financing etc. The chances of such is greater now since the missed opportunity cost of NOT drilling is HUGE....... then again they have done it last year so there is definitely reason to be skeptical.
