No significantly jump in the price of oil right now..
Why would the OIL prices be effected by the change of the regime in Egypt?
Egypt Oil export in 2010 was 0.089 million bbl/d when the world Oil consumption was about 82 million bbl/d.
Egypt is exporting less oil then some Intermittent oil producers in Canada. Egypt as an Oil exporter is totally irrelevant.
Free passage on the Suez Canal will be taken care of NATO and Russia. They will make sure that this vital passage of goods to and from the Europe is open.

PS: Thanks Malboro for the inside update on the Egypt Peoples Revolution. It is very much reminding me the 1981 revolution in Poland. The protest spark by the high food prices is now changing to demands of the regime change, free election and freedom of expression.
I hope that your friend will get the good news soon and people of Egypt will get what they are fight for.
