There's a problem with eliminating the penny. People tend to chuck their pennies in the charity box (think Tim Horton's) and that adds up over time. A lot of charities depend on this to make their budget. I guess at some point the penny falls by the wayside and the nickels get chucked instead. I already do that, and sometimes the dimes, but eliminating pennies would put a crimp in these services, at least in the short term. As for the big donation, Sally Ann gets my mine. They fed me when I was a street kid, and they've always taken on the toughest cases - the ones no one else wants to deal with. Besides, I like the uniforms...lol!
