Graphite stocks are definitely hot, and this market is just getting started. Like Ben said, 2 - 3 lbs of graphite are in long range vehicle batteries which are fairly new to the market place.
The renewable energy sector uses 600lbs of graphite in a vanadium redox battery. VRB's have been getting more attention as they can charge and recharge themselves. But without the addition of battery grade graphite, they would not be cost efficient at all.
Ive put together THE list of 72 publicly traded graphite stocks that are trading on multiple exchanges.
