WiLAN Enters into License and Settlement Agreement with Novatel Wireless

OTTAWA, CANADA--(Marketwired - Oct. 15, 2013) - Wi-LAN Inc. ("WiLAN" or the "Company") (TSX:WIN) (NASDAQ:WILN) today announced that WiLAN and Novatel Wireless, Inc. ("Novatel Wireless") have entered into a patent license agreement and settled all pending patent litigation.

Under the license agreement, Novatel Wireless has been granted a license related to certain WiLAN patents. As a result, all litigation between the companies in Texas will be dismissed with prejudice. Specific financial terms of the agreement reached are confidential.
