WiLAN Enters into License and Settlement Agreement with HP

OTTAWA, CANADA--(Marketwired - Oct. 15, 2013) - Wi-LAN Inc. (TSX:WIN)(NASDAQ:WILN) ("WiLAN" or the "Company") today announced that WiLAN and Hewlett-Packard Company ("HP") have entered into a patent license agreement and settled all pending patent litigation.

Under the license agreement, HP has been granted a license related to certain WiLAN patents and HP wireless products. As a result, all litigation between the companies in Texas will be dismissed with prejudice. Specific financial terms of the agreement reached are confidential.
