Wi-LAN to assist 01 Communique in licensing remote access patents

OTTAWA - Ottawa-based patent specialist Wi-LAN Inc. (TSX:WIN) will assist 01 Communique Laboratory Inc. of Mississauga, Ont.,
(TSX:ONE) to license out remote-access technology under a partnership announced Monday.
01 Communique has several services that can help small and mid-sized companies to conduct online meetings, remote computing and IT
support.
Wi-LAN has a portfolio of intellectual property that it has licensed to more than 250 companies worldwide, for use in a wide variety of
communications products.
Andrew Cheung, president and CEO of 01 Communique, said he is pleased to have a partner with Wi-LAN's financial position and track
record.
"Having signed technology license agreements with hundreds of companies, including Broadcom, Intel, LG, Motorola and Samsung, worth
many hundreds of millions of dollars, WiLAN has demonstrated superior licensing capabilities," Cheung said.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Wi-LAN's said its subsidiary Gladios IP will have day-to-day responsibility for developing programs aimed at licensing 01 Communique's
patents for a number of specified licensees
