Jan 25 (Reuters) - Wi-LAN Inc <WIN.TO> said Realtek Semiconductor Corp <2379.TW> will sign a multi-year deal with the patent licensing firm for an undisclosed amount.

The companies signed a memorandum of understanding and a definitive agreement will be signed in the next few week, Wi-LAN said in a statement.

Wi-LAN, which settled patent disputes with chipmakers Broadcom Corp <BRCM.O> and Intel Corp <INTC.O> recently, said Realtek has not been involved in any litigation with it.

Shares of the company were down 3 Canadian cents at C$6.54 on Tuesday morning on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Arnika Thakur in Bangalore; Editing by Unnikrishnan Nair)
