If I remember correctly, Stirling/PBI indicates that they are marketing heavily in South Africa, and expect much of their production to be directed to that market.
I also seem to remember that they recently announced that they has signed an agreement with a US pre-mix company to begin distribution within a limited territory in the US.
Our experience with relying on distributors to sell product has not been very positive. I suspect that distributor's sales reps are on commission, and have little energy to put into new product lines. I suspect they would rather invest their energy in proven product lines in order to maximize their sales efforts.
It is my belief that Stirling/PBI is behind in the learning curve on this, and that Bioagra still has a clear advantage by having a dedicated, full time, marketing team.
