Just wondering what the consensus might be regarding the effect new TFSA contribution room might have on the SP on the first trading day of the New Year. Will the SP be driven up as "new" TFSA money buys SLI shares, OR will the SP dip and then re-bound as non-registered shares of SLI are sold in order to free up cash to fund the new room in the TFSA's?
Can anyone suggest a strategy that would would work best to sell shares in a non-registered account and then replace those shares within a TFSA?
