Murray was made into a convenient scapegoat. It is unfortunate that he was terminated with cause, yet was never informed of the cause. 

But discussion of Murrays termination at this juncture is nothing more than a red herring, a feeble effort at deflecting mismanagement from the CEO-in-hiding.
