Johnny, you ask, "Seems Dynacor prefer Tumipampa to Acari. Wonder why is it? "
Dynacor started their Tumipampa project in 2001. They first drilled it in 2002 and have been trying to advance it ever since. It may be interesting to note that we did not get the Tesoro until ~ 2005 . The additional info of geophysics and bulk sampling, etc from Tesoro came after Dynacor was already working on Tumipampa. They had planned to put the Acari in full production around 2004-5, but for some reason didn,t. If for some reason they couldn,t raise the proper amount of money at that time, then it may have been prudent to keep advancing their other advanced project and hope for a sale that might cash them up to mine the Acari more efficiently. It was an uncertain time then in the industry with the POG around $400. Also, they had/have a very good business with the existing mill at Acari, running at high capacity from the artisinal miners. If they were to go into their own production at Acari, there most likely would have been little room left at the mill for the artisinal miners ore, this in turn may have caused complications with the nearby village and the mercury separation practises the Peruvian government were trying to get the informales away from.
So, we see Dynacor working on an additional mill that will need ore to generate revenue for it. Maybe they will start mining Acari when this is up and running, that way they retain the consent of the community and can mine the Acari also.
Another thing to mention, there appears to be a lot of big miners around their Tumipampa deposit. They may be able to make a quick sale of that property if they prove up the most they can, the quickest they can.The road being built and shared by several companies there is a good thing that speeds up development. The mention of the increased Chinese activity in Peru is also very interesting. Dynacor recently brought Denis Lachance on board, he worked with Aaron Regent (Barricks ex CEO as of a month or so ago) at Falconbridge around 2003-6 or so as mine manager. So, I would guess by that last sentence, that maybe they are gonna mine the Acari soon.
