Hey Folks;
I think Bow is closer to the truth than anybody, when he states that the 10 bagger was when I had 10,000 shares that I purchased at .12 cents and sold them at .68 cents, then bought them back at .86 cents and watched them drop back down to .09 cents. Sold those when SP stalled out at .25 cents. The story goes on and on and on and on.
Then bought 100,000 shares and as longball says at $1.50 all the way to $2.68 or more. Long story short--sure as hell wished I had those .12 cent shares now, but---not. All I have now is a bag full of shares that cost me about twice as much as they are selling for today. Success story??? not too likely---That is ---YET.
Am I selling even 1 share for $2 dollars ---not likely either. Am I buying more at the $1 dollar level---damn straight, its called "dollar cost averaging". WHY ?? you say. Cuz I believe, and have never ever been accused of being smart either.---Its just that if you dont't take a risk now and then, you'll probably die with the $100 dollar suit and the older but still naked body you came into this world with when you were born. BUT will you ever be able to say I've had a few exciting moments in my life---REMEMBER SLI----.
So T & J, Longball and anybody else that says its easy for you longs that bought in 9 years ago at a cheap price---there's more to the story book than the preface and the summary.
As Bow says---sure as hell wish I had those cheap shares now. What I do have is a bag full of savings tied up in SLI shares and a yard right full of quacking ducks just waiting to start laying golden egss. If they don't ---well I guess its been a wild and exciting ride, and I've sure as hell have had FUN getting this far.
Is my entire retirement portfolio tied up in SLI---I might get silly once in a while --but-- I'm not an idiotic moron, I just enjoy the gamle with the 10% risk side of my portfolio tied up in this extremely exciting and potentially winning stock. Nuff Said.!! QUACK-- QUACK
