From your post I am not sure if you are reccommending using a stop loss or not. It is my belief that stop loss orders contributed greatly to our fall last week and did nothing for the people who thought they were safe guarding a certain price.

If there are no bids the computer with stop loss orders just hit the the highest bid at or below the stop loss so even though your stop loss was in for example $1.25 you may have only realized .80 cents because there were no higher bids
