Focused on becoming a near-term Gold Producer
that Sage is going to focus it's time and energies on Jacobus. The bloom is off the rose, for the time being, for base metals. There's no sense fighting time and circumstance and developing the Lynx property any further under the current conditions. It's a great property, and holds a lot of promise, but of all the things the market wants right now, it's a really good gold play. Things could change in the marketplace rather dramatically in the coming year, so don't write off Lynx, it'll be back making news eventually once the metals rebound I think.
And it only makes sense to strip and trench until the snow flies. You cannot strip in trench in all weather conditions, but you can drill all year round once the stripping has been completed. You limit your ability to drill in the winter if you slow down the stripping process to drill as you go along. Furthermore, the more geological information you are equipped with from exposing the veins the better the selection of drill sites you can choose from later.
Just some of what I've picked up from speaking with Sage some time ago.
