ISP went down as I hit "send" ...grrrrrr
Anyways, while the road and bridge issue has certainly slowed things down for Sage's exploration of Jacobus, it doesn't mean they have been idle. Here's an excerpt from the NR:
Its width varies between 10cm to 1m and has been exposed via hand trenching for over 12m.
That sounds like some very unpleasant grunt labour to me, and so I say "congrats" for making the best of a bad situation. I am particularly looking forward to the results once heavy equipment can once again be mobilized in the area.
On another note, although the BGGC is unusual in the the intensity of the linear, surface-expressed gold-bearing quartz veins, that doesn't necessarily mean the widest veins will bear the most gold. Oftentimes, due to the nature of how gold is precipitated out of the super-heated solution, the narrower veins will host a greater concentration.
Not saying this is the way it will play out, the BGGC seems to be breaking all the rules. One could also argue, I suppose, that the wider veins might have more gold by volume, although disseminated, but it might be the narrower veins that have the rich pockets , so to speak.
