Well they could drill from a barge until mid-Nov and then pull it. Drill right through freeze up if they were willing to let the barge freeze in place and chopper the crew and materials out to the rig . Directional drilling from the south shore would be possible but doesn't seem to be Dave's thing. Use a barge as a drilling platform until January ice conditions are suitable. Lots of options if they want to get a little unconventional. My preference would be a ramp/decline from the north shore as you could do underground drilling, sample for reserve confidence, bulk sample, etc. ... Been There
