Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology
JB used to talk about the Hay Mountain adjoining land owner who was a retired heart surgeon and who also imagined himself a bit of a cowboy. This goes back to when JB was with the company and spoke of such things in group meetings and on the phone. Supposedly, the owner wanted to build a mini Old West town and rodeo to attract tourists to his ranch. JB said he did not envision having any problems gaining access across that property (for work at Hay Mountain) because he and the owner had a lot of things in common and had known each other for years.
If I recall correctly, BG designed a workaround at some expense, which avoided having to deal with that land owner, perhaps because he approached the land owner inappropriately or maybe because the owner preferred to deal with JB. I don't know. I can only speculate.
But as we are on the subject, perhaps some new CEO could work a deal with that property owner. From the little I know, I think that could save millions in mining site development costs.
Back to OU v. Kansas if the lightning delay is lifted from the field in Kansas.
