Yes, copper supplies are rising, and prices don't look too good over the near term.  And with a recession on the horizon, prices could worsen.  However, they are only a bit of a side issue for explorers (if they are healthy).  It is progress toward drilling, actual drilling, and discovery that are the things that sustain explorers even in the worst of times.  That is when the talents and experience of management count the most, and it is why it is so critical to get the best possible candidate to become the new CEO at LBSR.  Otherwise, it's going to be a long wait for companies like this one to survive into the other side of a recession.

As to gold prices, hang on.  Historical charts of POG, interest rates, and recessions provide clues.  POG in the last 50 years seems most often to rise along with interest rates, topping out just BEFORE interest rates begin to fall.  Soon after that point in time, recession sets in.

POG has been somewhat rangebound for a couple of years.  It is likely to break out soon, following interest rates higher.  On that subject, I read an educated guesstimate that we will see the Fed maxing out at 13 percent.  If that sounds unreal, we saw 16 percent in 1980.
