One may not want to be exposed to the political opinions of others. I understand that and respect it where possible. However, our investments can not be removed from the effects of politics at all ever.
Regulatory interference, which stems from politics, is a fact of life in business (mining, and otherwise). To disregard this is to do so at increased risk to your investments.
Along these lines, I expect that our new administration will do all it can to shut down progress at Resolution Copper's massive underground project at Superior, AZ.* Now tell me that that will not have ripple effects elsewhere in the West.
Will it not also be a political move despite our need for the copper and battery metals that may come from there?

* This project is acknowledged as having the largest copper deposit ever discovered. Hudbay's Rosemont - an open-pit project - south of there is among of the largest too. Both are now far more at risk for denial of mining permits under the new administration. Just watch.
