Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology
Being in charge and being appropriately prepared to be in charge are two different things.
BG certainly posses the self-assured aggressiveness to take charge and make changes (where he can get away with doing so), but I do not believe that he is at all qualified to be CEO of an exploration-phase mining company. Where is that supported by anything in his publically available background? He has never even made an attempt to sell himself to shareholders. Is that because he lacks marketing skills? Or does he recognize that he has nothing to sell in an election, hoping such value will present itself before that event? Probably both of those, in my opinion.
While I might admire and respect BGs training and experience in law, and as a mining engineer, he is learning the exploration business at our expense, and at a cost to him of, what, a few hours each weekend, if that? Is this really appropriate for shareholders looking for drilling to prove-up the discovery of the decade, if not the last one hundred years? NOT IN MY OPINION!
And I don't care how many seemingly qualified underlings he may appoint as I do not believe he is even qualified to make such appointments, let alone filter advice sent for his consideration.
In short, the man in charge got there without shareholder consent and seems very unwilling to seek it formally.
