O.k., let me add a modifier.  Of course, attorneys write contracts.  Duh! 

But that begins when the explorationists on either side of a potential deal are satisfied that they have something to negotiate.  Until that point, attorney's and "businessmen" are just a nuissance.  And as pointed out by Robert Ringer, attorneys can be "Universal deal killers."  ...don't bring them in until you have to.
