I've attended a number of general shareholder meetings in North America, but those were all normally expected ANNUAL meetings. What's coming here is more of a special meeting, than an annual general meeting.
The change in time could come from any number of issues including, but not limited to travel schedules, availability of meeting space (as you said), a need for revising presentation materials, a need to conclude an agreement, OR a lack of urgency owing to having nothing to say beyond needing to sell more shares. In any case, I plan of being there, if I'm not out of state at the time.
Meanwhile, trading opportunies continue.
