Combining Classic Mineral Exploration with State of the Art Technology
A bit off topic and in reference to "Inventing Freedom" by Daniel Hannan...
Lief, thanks for the book recommendation. Since beginning my reading, I recall having heard about it several weeks ago both on radio and TV. While it sounded interesting from those other sources, it was your mention above that moved me to get a copy.
I thought I pretty much understood English history, and our own, and even the term "American Exceptionalism", but I now see these things in a different light. Moreover, I have an even greater appreciation for the increasing fragility of what is truly "Anglosphere Exceptionalism".
...still a number off chapters to read yet, but just wanted to say thank you.
Apologies to those here from other cultures, and who may misunderstand "Exceptionalism" as used here. It does not mean superirority or something about rights to dominate others. It's about responsibilities for sustaining inherited and unique institutions evolved from Anglo-Saxon Common Law well over a thousand years ago.
