Nasty Nasty Nasty -- `bout all that can be said of the storm last night.

The wind were upwards of 60 mph and the hail was dime size. Out new home held up just fine as it is all brick. Some siding homes and, of course, the trailer park world in other sections of Middle and West TN did not do so well.

The ``never been out of CA crowd`` freaked. Some of my staff did not even come to work this am due to lack of sleep. Their homes and cars are Ok, just cleaning up the sheets. In SoCal, as you know, the weather map looks the same most of the year with only the temp changing. They now understand the reason for that middle section of the newscasts -- and with a lot more appreciation. The TV stations did a very good job of alerting people of the current conditions.

One good thing happened, the tree on the third hole that I usually hit with a driver will not be a problem any longer. I think I`ll burn a little of it in loving memory of all the great drives that never were due to it`s long branches.
