PTAB Designates 2 AIA Review Decisions As Precedential

January 12, 2016, 11:47 PM ET) -- The Patent Trial and Appeal Board said Tuesday it has designated two of its decisions as precedential,
one of which deals with when petitioners are barred from raising issues in a petition and another that deals with the
one-year time bar for pursuing an inter partes review.These are only the second and third decisions in America Invents Act reviews that the PTAB has designated precedential, meaning that they are binding in all future cases.
