My reply does not mean I'm right, but the opinion comes from many things the company has said at SHM's, comments in PR's etc, with the bottom line of...continuations strengthen the portfolio, making it more difficult to get away with using any part or entirety of each and every patent, claim by claim.

It has been explained that patents of others, can be used (prio art) to come up with a continuation for Nunchi IP, by adding additional claims/ideas/features and the like. I believe this is where most of the continuations are coming from.

I don't know how to explain this very well, but that's the gist of it.
