It does sound like they'll have enough in settlement monies from this quarter to keep the office open and to continue paying Handal for awhile. The question is whether there will be anything left over for shareholders - meaning will the settlements add any value? Obviously $34K from last quarter doesn't add value nor does it pay for the $30K/month fixed overhead just to keep Handal engaged.
To move the needle share-price-wise, we still need multi-million dollar settlements and/or multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership/license agreements for Nunchi and/or MicroSignet. We continue to wait for that to happen, and "opened the door for serious discussions" does not mean that serious discussions must be occurring now, only that it's a possibility.
Unfortunately my underlined section of this sentance must differ from your more optimistic opinion about what it says to us.
"Management faces challenges for the remainder of fiscal 2014 to execute our plan to increase Flash-R patent portfolio license fees and monetize our Nunchi technology."
