e.Digital could buy a Fusion -IO server flash card...with that, they would know exactly what the controller on them is capable of.

like SD flash cards...it's not the flash card directly infringing....it's the CE product that formats the card that is infringing.

It's the reason specific devices are named in the law suits.

Same for Fusion-IO.....though they may have the IO ability , its the user formatting the cards that infringe. With that, if they are not selling the fully detailed servers, there is nothing to look for. Apple, Google...etc could be cheating....but it's confined to their use only behind closed doors. They are not selling fully completed server products.

As for consumer electronics products sold to the public, the big one they would all want, hassle free bad memory cell management....Which if found to be infringed , then leads to the all encompassing issues to make that happen.....data management...and controller issues on those products.
