FWIW....
With that....it's because of the way the data is saved...segment by segment....that allows for advanced editing of digital files...audio, video....etc.
You remove segments, add segments..etc...between previously saved segments.
Digital Camera....I'm sure many of you use them. What do you do?....you turn on the camera, you shoot the image...it processes the image and renders it to you, and then what do you do?
You press a button to save the image to flash.
The process between shoot the image and render it to you....IMO the industry is cheating within that boundary....shooting the file into RAM resource prior to you saving the image to flash. Have you all noticed how fast the render to you is these days?
Just so long as they are not shooting into Flash.
