sman,

EDIG applied for a trademark on the word Nunchi on Sep 1, 2011. It's Published for Opposition date was May 29, 2012 and it was finally registered as a trademark 6 months later on Nov 27, 2012.

Qualcomm only applied for a trademark on the word GIMBAL on June 1, 2012 and the Opposition date is Dec 11, 2012 (tomorrow). They should have 6 months to wait for it to be trademark protected.

I tried looking up Qualcomm's GIMBAL patent application on USPTO Public PAIR but don't know the application # or control #, etc. How do I find their patent app without knowing any reference numbers? I tried typing in just GIMBAL and got 8037 hits...ughhh. I wanted to compare GIMBAL with NUNCHI and check on similarities. I'm also curious how far out they might be on the patent approval, assuming they get it. Hopefully the USPTO will tell Qualcomm, "Sorry, EDIG beat you to it. Why not just buy a license." LOL

Thanks.
