I don't totally put into that and neither does he, as he focused on many things to establish "his standard".

The only way you can achieve a standard you can call your own, is to have many, many irons in the fire.

With that, he states his most important break, after years of toiling, was by chance and something he did not consider in his business plan......That being the Internet...it totally caught him off guard giving him a direction and changing his business for the better....and I would venture to say for many others big changes as well, for the good and the bad.
I was amazed to hear him say that. As the Internet was not fully there, however, the dial up BB systems were very popular, like Compuserve. One would have to have had a vision of that power, I did...I was amazed I could follow the NASDAQ ticker live on Compuserve BB as well as many other independent offings hosted there. It was the predecessor to AOL fame when the WWW went live.

And here we are ...you in Maplecity, where ever that is... me and all the others form all points of the country/world chatting like we're in the same room discussing things... Things that I feel many here would never have imagined to be discussing.

It is friggin amazing the way things have evolved....from my old 64K-128K desktops with no hard drive to where we are now. Doesn't seem that long ago...

Even though the King of Sandisk stands in our way, he and many before him dedicated to their passions and craft to give us this gift of the Internet. Even though it caught him completely off guard his contributions and efforts are now helping to drive Internet interactions.

I'm really pulling for Fred and e.Digital to succeed...and all those before him that had the passion to collectively put together the ideas....that I feel deserve recognition.

Come on baby, just a little further and you'll have it.....I can feel it in my bones.
