I have to go back to China in a month. While prepareing, one of my vendors sent me some of their new products for review and I took the liberty to scan other categories they make. This is not one of the larger China electronics factories. Check out their line up of multi-media players, most are very cheap (some under US$50, FOB China, in 40ft container quantities --> 8000 to 10,000 units):

It is easy to understand why EDIG wants to play in the smaller closed-end system market. It is more tech rich and EDIG can command a far better price point.

still dumb and clueless as to what the heck EDIG is selling and to whom....gotta give `em credit for silence as they do it well these days.
