For e.Digitals situation, "rejecting" , .....is rejecting the heart of the patent.
e.Digitals "control circuitry" methods function and deliver coordinated resources as needed on the subject matter being scrutinized.

The whole patent deals with "control circuity" matters and how it implements the many different considerations....such as charge pumps, speaker, microphone, compression, codecs....etc.

rejecting the claim term in question kills the patent.
