If the Nunchi patent applications ever become public and we're able to read through the claims for ourselves, then there are two possible reactions. Actually there are several, but here I will focus on the two extremes:
1. Oh my gosh... this is incredible technology! I can't believe they haven't sold it yet. They must be very close and in discussions with someone because it's too good never to see the light of day. There's definitely money to be made here for all concerned.
2. Oh my gosh... this is it??? What's so great about this? No wonder they haven't sold it yet. Why pay for something that doesn't add any value? Besides, doesn't this capability already exist for free on some Apple or Android app?
You get my point - either they have been (rightfully) keeping everything under wraps and it is just a matter of time before they make a very surprising announcement where we're all just blown away by the possibilities... or Nunchi winds up being just another product without a market.
If Nunchi is that good, we should hear about it before the patent apps become public I would think. Someone somewhere should want to snap up the technology and sign some kind of agreement with us. If it proves worthless because no one is interested enough to buy it or partner with us to develop it further, then shareholders will be the last to know and we'll be left to deduce this fact from the lack of any significant information. Fred is not going to tell us that they've got nothing... and we'll still
be hoping long after he's already reached that conclusion for himself.
Whatever happens, I think we're already past or at least very close to passing any reasonable timeframe for this initiative to start bearing fruit. Fred knows this too I'm sure.
