I don't know if the scope was narrowed...but the issues of removable and straight out Digital reference is not considered in the opinion.

digital reference is however a consideration of (as applicable) a codec / DSP/micro controller processing issue.

It all depends on how (as applicable) is considered by DM and how the digital issues fit the phrase as the court has fashioned. "not RAM or any other memory"..

In any event, they can't sit on it forever, eventually there will be an answer.
