That phrase is their considered construction....the beginning issue deals with received and processed sound signals....from where?(as e.Digital identifies)....where the end issue considers there to be no other RAM resource involved.

Me thinks they needed to remove the word received at both references....in order for there to be an assocation with their ending consideration.
