This has been tested for a long time. It was supposed to be on the market this spring at some of the largest retailers and at some interesting retailers some would not think in this market....convenience stores and even a large grocery store chain looked at this (the grocery store chain decided to buy more televisions and DVD players).

Since I`m not a huge consumer of digital music files (I have all the AC / DC and Eagles already), I wonder who the consumer will be since anyone can ``mix and burn`` sittin` in front of their home computer in their underwear. My guess is they are only looking for the impulse buyer or the ``gotta have it now`` person who just heard it on the radio. Would that song be on the kiosk yet if new?

As for video, RP was right at the ASM. It is very different as the files are much much larger and take a long time even with standard DSL. So, a large bandwidth kiosk makes more sense to me for video than for a $0.89 song file. We can only hope EDIG`s ``closed system`` non-retail focus can show off something that a buyer in the retail kiosk biz would actually pay for if someone at EDIG actually asked. Too many ``IFs`` and too few results in the retail space has driven EDIG to other markets, IMO.

OK Paul, no more ``Just my $0.02`` `cause we don`t want to see that price next to anything EDIG.

How about,``I KNOW nuttin``` or has that been taken?

Ok, I`ll just use a blast from my AOL board past...

John
