As to the number of units sold prior to an actual settlement, regardless of future projections until the applicable patents expire involved in the CO 16 specifically, I don't see that to be a tough task.

These CE companies not only report number of widgets sold quarterly if not at least once per year, each widget should have it's own identity as in a serial number or some other method to record each device manufactured. There are also date codes for warranty purposes, lot numbers etc. I would think those records are very well kept.
