I'm pretty sure Maycoms I-Jam beat the Rio at being first, but the 'Puck' was the first multi-codec/drm player and imo they were all flash based with no SD slots at first.

Hai - did the puck have an SD slot?

And IMO this writer is off-base by saying, ''it caches content in RAM.''

Other write-ups have stated, 'very little use of RAM' to 'minimal use' ...

If you pull a SD card and the darn thing quits it means it hasn't loaded data into RAM to keep playing. . . They've got me stumped here on how they can make this claim...

But yet we're stuck on the definition of 'main memory'
