``It would appear to me a competitor, knowing of an extremely loose relationship between APS/Wencor and EDig, with no legal agreement in place, could hop in that ball game with a sweeter offer. None has...JMO...``

The ``JMO`` lets you off the hook if there is something going with Panasonic (which is possible, and may be an influencing factor on things, or not).

As for the exclusivity reply, it`s interesting how things get interpretted....

The way I read the response is that:

1) there is no exclusivity agreement with anyone re: IP (which is the real issue). The guts are available to any/all willing to pay the price, for use in IFE or any other venue.

2) EDIG WORKS exclusively with APS/Wencor on current versions of the digEplayer. Of course! APS/Wencor owns the digEplayer name! How could they possibly work with someone else on a specifically named product when that name is owned by APS/Wencor? Only way is if APS/Wencor were willing to license the name to a third party (not likely!).

So it appears that RP has again word-smithed us into confusion due to interpretation problems. But it is clear to me, as above.

But I KNOW nuttin`!
