This hasn`t caused any delays. Some hand-wringing perhaps, but no delays. Until now, there was no standard, so everyone (including EDIG and the digE content supply chain) could do whatever they wanted. Thus, no delays. Now, as Doni points out, they`ve ``seen the light`` by recognizing that there are a lot of IFE devices using CODECs, etc., other than what they were contemplating as a standard. Their decision to establish no standard means clear sailing for the good ship EDIG in the IFE world.

As I recall, Atul is on this WAEA board. His words, backed by current use by 13+ airlines, were probably the reason for this decision not to make a decision.
