it`s just a laptop to load the players.....the player will utilize a specialized I/O port along with an autentication scheme (propritary to e.Digital along with the hard drive encryption)...

it can be hardwire linked to the laptop or wirelessly linked to the lap top....standard high speed protocols will be utilized between the players and PML. IMO.. both the PML and the players will have the hard drive encryption as well as the content management protocol for distribution.

As head end server equipment is devloped...the same device encryption and distribution protocol will be utilized...or it never existed.
