Oh my,...?'s getting tougher and I am no authority....
The theme from day 1, as I recall the focus, was a 1 time settlement fee and XLA's if the shoe fits both parties, for the 1st tier 1 round of 7. Is that still the primary focus for the CO 19, and future rounds? That's yet to be seen...
As I understood the back and forth today and from last years SHM, XLA's have the potential to reduce cost for current and future product offerings, and the company will announce the use of XLA's if and when future products are introduced, or a partnership uses the licenses...etc etc. I don't understand this stuff very well at all...so my opinions only from the little I can offer.
I'd say it adds value, and possibly the cash part is reduced when a XLA's is part of a settlement, which most have been to date, but not my area to judge for sure.
I am getting WAY over my head here...so we need the experts to chime in.
We do have experts correct...LOL!!!
