Jefother--I do credit EDIG for somethings but being ones that had what others wanted they failed to make plane in what ever contractual agreement they entered that their patents was theirs and theirs only. Look 176 companies did what ?? Even this last suit that was thrown out was based on information not being clear and we lost two years as we muddled through that law suit.
The stupidity I'm referring to is that they were nieve to think that their partnerships were really in their best interest with all their non disclosure agreements they were forced to sign while they had their little thieves browsing through the store. 176 times is just a little much. You had to know you were doing something wrong.
The only thing that is making this right is that EDIG out lasted what these companies had hope for. True they did that on their own. But where we are now is only because of D.M. and the money they are putting up in this fight . Lets all hope that D.M. makes a bundle of money because if they do , guess what, so does EDIG and that will mean a new ball game for them.
For Samsung to want to settle is not because they have turned a new cheek and want to now show that they are benevolent. EDIG has something that "THEY " need. OR
they see the handwriting on the wall if they would have gone to court , lost and have EDIG close the U.S. markets on them.
Business is tough enough when dealing with legitiment companies that want a tough deal but fair. We have here a case of thieves who want to act like thieves trying to screw you at every turn . Well its their turn in the barrel.
