"Flashback Audio uses SanDisk's CompactFlash as the storage media. Norris Communications developed the technology from advances in its patented Norris Flashback digital voice recorder and MicroOS operating system."

At this point Compactflash was devised with NOR, Compactflash featuring NAND came later.

IMO, the ideas of Norris/Daberko had something to do with the NAND revolution. Prior to their serialized ideas of data management, it was implemented with little versatility compared to the capability of NOR.

I'm holding on to that idea......IMO, they changed the face of NAND that now out paces NOR, now having versatility.
