The Samsung case looks like it's going to be pivotal in EDIG's IP wars. The issue of IP will most likely be fleshed out significantly in this case. Was it DM's strategy to draw a line in the sand now or were they surprised by the aggressive defense? Probably the former. There's an element of risk associated with taking on a case like this at this point. It's sort of like going "all in" with your chips. If EDIG prevails, it's sitting pretty. If not........Frankly, it has to be done at some point, otherwise you're left with settling nickle and dime cases.
Damn, I wish this company could get a breakthrough in marketing their own product line....limited as it is. How far can this IP stuff take it in future years?
