I spoke with Putnam last evening and he confirmed that the Casio settlement included cash. Most of our conversation was just reassurances so there isn't much I can report. The financials in Feb will disclose the amount of the settlement. It sounded like there would be additional announcements / IP progress / or an update before the end of the year. I have no idea if this will just be a business update as they have on occasion in the past around the holidays, or an additional settlement, or the filing of additional infringers by Duane Morris. All seem plausible. The settlement negotiations with Digecor holds some promise as the judge that has been conducting the process will be mediating and the principals will all be in one room which may enable a resolution. However the basis of the settlement meeting is part of the normal pretrial proceedings. If the outcome isn't an outright settlement, there should be some indication as to how the judge is thinking.
