Message: Expected outcome

If I said I wasn’t somewhat disappointed in $1.6 million from LG, I’d be lying. I figured around $5 million. But as someone said, we don’t know DM’s strategy and if they felt it was an OK deal, then I’m OK with it. We have to remember DM is not in this for peanuts...they want to make a lot of money just like EDIG does. And with the remaining 6 defendants in suit #2 agreeable to mediation, let’s just wait and see what that outcome is. Though most here are disappointed, this doesn’t change my opinion that we will be happy with this investment in the future. And with only 4 1/2 months left in fiscal 2009, this is also good to see in today’s PR:

“With this early validation of what we believe to be fundamental patents relating to the use of flash memory in many of today’s popular consumer electronic products, we expect to record further licensing revenues during fiscal 2009 and expand our licensing and legal efforts.”

Expanding their licensing and legal efforts means DM is sticking around and planning on being busy.
